I grew up in Luxembourg (Europe). At the age of 24, I moved to the Netherlands for a few years, before finally settling in London (UK). I first fell into Fraud Prevention (because let’s face it, in those days this was not a career path they told you about in high school) when I worked at Amazon.co.uk. In my 8 years there, I was lucky enough to get a thorough education in Fraud Prevention in one of the most well known businesses in the world and in an environment which was heavily and relentlessly targeted by fraudsters.
Since then, I have worked in a variety of industries, ranging from Gambling and Gaming to Retail and Banking, perfecting my skills in each one, and learning more about the ever evolving methods and technologies fraudsters use to target merchants and consumers.
I had the honour of serving on the European Advisory board at the Merchant Risk Council (MRC) for just over four years. For over 20 years, the mission of the MRC has been to create the GO-TO place for eCommerce payment and fraud professionals globally to facilitate networking, education, and advocacy and it has been a particular privilege to support them on their journey.
I was also a member of the MRC’s Women in Fraud and Payments initiative, and I continue to actively support this important stream of work in many ways today.
As I grew my career and started to work in senior positions, I realised how much I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping people grow and develop. Mentoring gives me much joy and has become a big part of my life.
Integrity, kindness, openness and curiosity are the fuel of my life and my raison d’être. When I’m not working, I love to travel, cook and spend time with the people I care about.
I love growing my network and relationships. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Remember, you’ll miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!
